Integra Shaved Bay - Kandy Teal

This job was a basic shaved engine bay on a 1995 Acura Integra, but first it needed lots of repairs due to a very poor previous attempt at the same work. I began by abrasive blasting the entire bay, and then I cut out the improperly welded patch panels. I welded in each patch correctly, applied fiberglass reinforced filler where necessary for strength, then applied a light skim of poly filler to finish off the body work. Over the completed filler work, I sprayed polyester primer, then block sanded it out to prepare for paint. The base coat was a coarse silver metallic with silver metal flake mixed in for effect. The color is a custom mix of House of Kolor Oriental Blue and Teal kandies.
