Coast Guard vessel Alex Haley CPP/prop overhaul

This is the US Coast Guard Cutter Alex Haley that i helped diagnose, disassemble and rebuild in the spring of 2013. All major systems were addressed including but not limited to the CPP( controllable pitch propellers) shafts and shaft bearings, main engines, diesel generators, rudders etc...This was a massive undertaking as the boat is old, of foreign make and all blueprints, schematics and unique tooling were lost in over time. We wrote the book on this boat as we went along. Even technical representatives from various companies documented our progress for future use as this boat is one of a kind.
