Completed: GMAW level 3, GMAW fabrication, GTAW level 1, FCAW level 1, SMAW level 3, welding blueprints, cutting processes, oxyacetylene welding, practical application for estimating and layout, and structural iron fabrication. Having a strong shoulders and back gives a welder an edge because the skilled trade of welding can be surprisingly strenuous. My welding gear bag weighs 22 pounds. The weight of welding gear or layers of metal adds up at a surprising rate. I have a picture of the Hennepin Technical College welding lab. I have taken one welding course per semester and other times two courses, I have taken courses in welding school for 4 years.
