Work Experience

• Dj's well service & roustabout

  2008-2009 | Well service hand

  I tripped rods and tubing in and out of the well in order to clean the well's oil it involved removing coagulated mud and paraffin. I cleaned the rig with soap and water or diesel and soap. I performed mechanic duties when needed and rigged up and down and moved the rig up to 3 times a week working 10 to 12 hrs a day.

• Jbs Swift & Co.

  2009-2010 | Loadout

  I prepared semi truck trailers for hauling boxes of meat, I loaded meat on trucks 6 days a week 10 hrs a day on night shift. I also ran a box sealing machine that glued the boxes shut.

• Cactus Drilling Co. L.L.C.

  2010-2013 | Floorhand-Motorman

  I was a roughneck I worked out in extreme temperatures and my duties were to keep the drilling location clean and organized, and assist my other crew members when needed, I threw chain, made connections, tripped pipe, worked derricks when needed, rigged up and down, moved the rig. Drilled for oil&gas. I was on coring jobs as well in south west texas. I took care the motors and pumps and refueled all machinery on the rig I kept track of all fluids on the rig. I also mixed chemicals in the drilling mud depending on what formation we were drilling through. I worked 12 hrs a day 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.

• Progress Rail Services

  2013-2014 | Welder-Carman

  I learned to wire weld and attained my wire welding certificate through progress rail services, my job was to cut down rail cars and make repairs according to the write up for each rail car. I also painted inside liners in tank cars and hopper cars.

• CDS Industrial Service

  2014-2014 | Fabricator / Welder Stainless steel

  I was learning to Fabricate and Tig Weld on Stainless Steel. The job involved fabricating Stainless steel structures and installing them at JBS Swift and Tyson Fresh Meats. The job only lasted 2 months for me, then I was laid off.

Education

• Windham ISD

  2006-2008 | High School Graduate or GED

  I attended all basic classes at Windham school district and earned my GED. I was also learning bookkeeping.

• Amarillo College Technical Education

  2015-Present | Currently Attending

  I am attending welding school to officially get my certifications in tig, mig and stick welding I am learning how to fabricate on all types of metal and am about to finish my first class tomorrow for tech comm.
