Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards; Load and unload concrete and building materials; Build and take apart bracing, barricades, forms, molds, scaffolding, and temporary structures; Dig trenches, backfill holes and compact earth using shovels, pick axes, diggers and hoes; Operate and tend equipment and machines used in construction, such as concrete mixers; Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float; Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge; Produce rough concrete surface, using broom and operate power vibrator to compact concrete; Direct the casting of the concrete and mix cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, or slurry, using hoe, trowel, tamper, scraper, or concrete-mixing machine; Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete; Pattern or stamp by hand the surface of the concrete to provide a decorative finish; Rough cast, flash and render concrete block surfaces; Assist with plumbing and electrical installation; Install ceramic tile (interior / exterior) as needed; Frame and install doors and windows as needed; Create decking for concrete stairs, walkways and driveways; Install metal and wood fencing as needed
