Work Experience

  • United States Army

    2002-2006 | Diesel Generator Mechanic

I diagnosed and repaired generators, spider boxes and equipment as well as hardwired tents and buildings. The platoon tool truck was in my care where I organized and maintained all the tools and kept records of who borrowed them. I volunteered for convoy escort in Iraq and worked gate/tower guard duty.

  • Clairemont Equipment

    2006-2009 | Small Equipment Mechanic

I started out washing equipment then inspecting, tagging and organizing the equipment in the yard. I also made deliveries and at the same time moved into small equipment repair. I would complete minor and major repairs to equipment ranging in size from a weed eater to a mini excavator. I also worked on pneumatic tools such as jack hammers etc.

    2011-Present | Container Maintenance

Wash, inspect, weld, fabricate and maintain all container sizes from one yard to eight yards. On occasion I will repair hydraulic cylinders and repair truck bodies and/or replace wear strips. Deliver, remove, and assemble all bins and waste wheelers with a pickup truck and trailer. Sometimes I run trucks to the landfill to empty them or swap out with a driver if they break down. I organize the welding shop, order metal, parts and all necessary equipment and delegate tasks to the other welders and painter. I perform any and all tasks asked of me or find a way to get them done.
