I learned about the five process of welding. I first started with the shield metal arc welding process, known as stick. I first learned in the flat position, then learned the horizontal position, the moved to the vertical position, and finally learned the overhead position. After the SMAW process was complete, I learned how to use the gas metal arc process, better known as MIG. I practiced in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions. After that I moved on to the flux core arc processes. I learned how to do both FCAW- G, and FCAW- S. The latter process is known as inner shield. Finally I was able to learn the Gas Tungsten Arc process, known as TIG. I learned how to weld both stainless steel, and aluminum.
