  I was responsible for learning and instructing warfare skills within a platoon and a company. My responsibilities also included junior leadership, patrolling, tactical weapons (both crew served and small arms), land navigation, physical fitness, force protection, attacks/counter attacks, and combat water survival.

  1995-1992 | Tanker/Gunner Sergeant E5 - Tank Platoon Sergeant E7

  I was responsible for overseeing the operation and safety of a tank platoon, tank gunnery ranges, and insure that the platoon accomplished any mission given with the highest accomplishment. I served as an S1 Sergeant for 6 months at the battalion level. This job consisted of overseeing pay problems, bonuses, completing status reports of troop movement and moral, and the welfare of the soldiers.

  1995-2000 | Maintenance Supervisor

  I was primarily responsible for organizing, directing, and controlling the day to day operations of the maintenance department and providing leadership, motivation, and consistent direction to the maintenance staff. I supervised maintenance of the exterior of the property on a daily basis and provided a clean and acceptable curb side appeal at all times with assistance from the other maintenance staff and porters where applicable. I supervised and assigned duties to all maintenance staff, porters, and housekeeping in coordination with the manager. I also assisted the manager in the hiring, counseling, and terminating of maintenance personnel. I was also responsible for supervising proper maintenance of all common area amenities, inspecting vacant apartments for damages, and coordinating and assisting with all maintenance repairs that were needed. I completed inventories of all equipment and supplies and purchased material as needed. I supervised all work on the property to insure all work was completed and in good standards. I made recommendations to the manager for needed repairs and improvements to the property to maintain the best quality property possible.

  I was responsible for providing leadership in the creation of processes to fully execute the requirements of services and the execution of HVAC mechanical services, quality, and cost. I directed the activities of HVAC mechanics. I also installed, serviced, and repaired environmental-control and other commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipe-fitting, and structural layout. I mounted compressor and condenser units on a floor or platform, used hand tools, and followed blueprints or engineering specification. I fabricated, assembled, and installed duct work and chassis parts using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment. I connected motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connected them to a power source. I also installed, repaired, and serviced air conditioners which ranged from 15 to 20 tons cooling capacity in warehouses and small factory buildings.

  I was responsible for directing all phases of project planning and execution of maintenance activities on medium-sized projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of the company. These projects typically employed 150 to 450 employees. This job required a working knowledge of the respective industry. I also supervised leaders who have experience as industrial maintenance mechanics or in the construction trade. I was also responsible for inspecting and overseeing the construction of renovations, road repairs, and other types of construction work to insure that subcontract procedures were followed and that the materials used conformed to all specifications. I examined workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards and approved installations. I was responsible for overseeing the entire O&M Facilities maintenance and automotive services on the site. I was responsible for managing all of the site functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, system and requirement approved by the company on medium-sized projects (typically 250,000 to 2 million hours or building projects of 15 to 75 million). I developed, implemented, analyzed, and administered results for specialized HR functions such as compensations, benefits, HR system, staffing, learning and development, international, and other HR disciplines. I monitored the customer service desk to ensure that all service personnel were providing friendly and professional service to the customer. My responsibilities sometimes included project setup and subcontracting strategy, reviewing shop drawings and processing, owner/architect/engineer daily relations, subcontractor relations, and all required owner and in-house reporting. This job required familiarity with all US Government, Federal, State, and Local regulations as they pertain to the administration of the project.
